RESUMO:

Cloud computing provides on-demand computing services over the Internet, with a pay-as-you-go model, which helps optimize operating costs. This approach provides benefits such as secure access from any location and device, as well as facilitating information sharing. In this context, users (software architects) can define QoS requirements for the contracted services, which must be described in the SLA. As a result, cloud computing has established itself as an attractive solution for companies of all sizes, which has driven its growth in recent years. To maximize the benefits of cloud computing, many users have adopted the multi-cloud model, in which an application is distributed across multiple providers, often without prior integration agreements between them. However, most providers do not directly provide metrics for the contracted services, making it difficult to verify compliance with SLAs and assess compliance with established QoS parameters. Therefore, users must resort to alternative strategies to measure the QoS values of the contracted services. This task becomes even more complex in multi-cloud environments, where multiple SLAs must be considered. In these cases, the user must evaluate performance metrics from both the perspective of each provider and the application as a whole. In this context, QoS monitoring from the user's perspective, based on the SLA, becomes important. Monitoring not only allows for assessing the quality of the service but also for identifying whether the application requires additional resources. Therefore, we propose an architecture for monitoring the QoS of services contracted across multiple cloud providers, for distributed microservices within an application. To validate the proposed solution, we developed a tool capable of monitoring metrics over time and supporting decision-making, enabling the measurement of the QoS of each service used by each microservice across the different contracted providers.
