Apresentação
The Graduate Program in Agronomy (PPGA) from the Federal University of Piauí aims to form high-level human resources to work in teaching, and scientific and technological research in Agricultural Sciences. The program presents importance to the Northeastern, mainly Mid-North region of Brazil. The human resource graduated in the Graduate Program in Agronomy must have specific skills to act independently and critically in topics related to Plants Genetic and Breeding, Soil, Water, and Plants Management. They should show leadership ability to coordinate research projects, at the national and international level, and supervise undergraduate and graduate students. The audience of PPGA consists primarily of Agronomists and Biologists, however, human resources related to Agriculture, Forestry, and Animal Science are also welcome. All Master and Doctor candidates must have high-level training in Plants Genetic and Breeding, Soil, Water, and Plants Management.
