RESUMO:

This document presents a study of the propagation
of harmonic components due to the insertion of photovoltaic
generation systems in a radial distribution network that contains
15 MVA of installed capacity. Two analyzes were carried out, the
first one a 720 kWp system was concentrated in a single point of
the network and the second with the distribution of five 180 kWp
systems in different points of the network. The electrical network
studied corresponds to the medium voltage network of the
Campus Ministro Petrônio Portela of the Federal University of
Piauí. The system comprises 8.8 kilometers of conductors, 63
overheads substations, in addition to 8 sheltered substations
connected to 13.8 kV medium voltage and 380/220 V low voltage.
The network modeling was performed in MATLAB supported by
the SIMULINK tool. The load of the network transformers was
determined through an allocation factor that depends on the
maximum demand, the installed power and the power factor of
the network, which is indicated by mass memory provided by the
local energy distributor. A power quality analyzer was used to
determine the harmonic behavior of the energy injected by the
inverter into the grid. The analyzes allowed to conclude that
photovoltaic generation systems with considerable power can
contribute to harmonic distortion in the network. Also, that the
electrical network must be studied before the insertion of reactive
elements, since these can trigger the phenomenon of resonance
that amplifies the effects of harmonic components.
