RESUMO:

Chondroitin sulfate (CS) is used to manufacture a clickable reagent for a rapid, solvent-free synthesis of chondroitin sulfate-polyethylene glycol (CS-PEG) hydrogels. Furthermore, different multi-arm PEGs are used to produce cross-linked copolymers with suitable and tunable properties easily prepared by norbornene-tetrazine click methodology. Structural characterizations were performed to confirm the CS modification and the structure of the final material. Gelation time and Young's modulus are measured, varying the arm's number and multi-arm PEG's chain size. Moreover, the cell viability was investigated by adhesion test with murine fibroblast cell line. To demonstrating the capability of this strategy, different hydrogels are fabricated in a few minutes with mechanical and biological controlled properties for future skin tissue engineering applications.
